Frequent Questions

Most citizens of foreign countries are required to obtain a visa in order to enter the United States.

Visitor visas are temporary visas that allow you to come to the U.S. temporarily for business (B-1), for tourism (B-2), or for both (B-1/B-2).

Some individuals are eligible to travel to the United States without a visa because their country is an approved country for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Under this program, individuals can travel to the US for business or tourism for up to 90 days at a time. In order to participate in the VWP, the traveler must use the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) to become approved prior to their travel to the United States and arrival at a port of entry.

In order to qualify, you must be a VWP designated country and your reason for travel must be an allowed activity under the Visitor (B) Visa. You can fill out the ESTA on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website.

For a flat fee of $90, MyVisaUSA offers you full support in preparing and reviewing your B-1/B-2 travel visa application. This one-time cost covers everything from application preparation to guidance on scheduling your interview appointment, along with customized support throughout the process. There is also a separate $185 filing fee payable directly to the U.S. government, for which we'll provide directions on when and how to settle.

After we’ve reviewed your visa application (Form DS-160) and you’ve personally submitted it on the official website, the next step is to schedule the Visa interview. The wait times for interview appointments differ by country, and you schedule your own appointment directly on the official portal, with our step-by-step guidance. You can see the most up-to-date wait times here. In some cases you may be eligible to request an expedited appointment.

Your visa interview will occur at the U.S. Embassy or consulate where you chose to file your application (note: you can choose to file your application at any embassy or consulate in the world, even if you don’t live there, so that you can get your visa faster). During your interview, a consular official will question you about your planned trip to the United States, your life in your home country, and your past immigration history. During the interview, the consular office may ask you to verify details of your DS-160 and/or ask to see the supporting documentation that you brought to the interview.

MyVisaUSA (nor any other visa assistance company) cannot guarantee that your travel visa application will be approved. While we can help you identify omissions or inconsistencies, the decision rests with the U.S. government and the U.S. government alone.

Our process, during which we analyze and improve your application through AI and human review, is designed to help you submit a complete, consistent application. In addition, we offer comprehensive preparation for your travel visa interview, including live practice sessions and a preparation guide from experts trained by a former consular officer.

Numerous factors can affect your visa application’s chance of approval, which is why we create a specialized plan for each individual. To understand your risk and to help us get started on your custom visa plan, take our online assessment of rejection risk.

While the vast majority of applicants are approved, some may be denied a visa by the consular officer (who makes the decision on behalf of the US government). It’s almost always possible to apply again, and many applicants who are denied the first time have better success the second time.

Because of this, MyVisaUSA helps you re-apply for free if your travel visa is denied. In this case, we’ll work with you to improve any deficiencies on your application before helping you reapply (note: While you will not have to pay another fee to MyVisaUSA, you will have to pay the visa application fee to the government each time).
